About Us

A Trauma-Informed Approach to Education:

Healing Centered Engagement

Each of us is molded and formed by the series of experiences we call life. We are who we are because of what we have experienced. Each of us hopes that we will be molded and formed by more pleasurable experiences, then painful ones. This is not always the case. Some of us are formed by so many painful and challenging experiences we begin to question our worth and our purpose. These traumatic experiences develop into a stress that becomes toxic to the brain and the body and, at even a young age, can overwhelm one’s ability to cope with day-to-day life.
Childhood Trauma

Often times we may ask ourselves,“why are we being held to the fire this way?”

At FIFPA, we believe that some are held to the fire because their true purpose requires a strength that very few people possess. Steel is stronger once forged in the fire, and we are stronger for our experiences.

We become unique in our strength, shape, and ability.
