What is the Neurosequential Model of Education (NME) Brain-Based Principles and Why Do We Use It's Theories?
We have a trainer that is certified in the Neurosequential Model of Education through the Child Trauma Academy. This model of education was derived from the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics which is a way to score brain mediated functions and behaviors in order to effectively plan mental health treatment.
NME is a program that trains educators on how the brain functions and the fundamentals of the body’s stress response system. Educators are trained to view student’s challenges and strengths through the the lens of neurology and stress response. A brain map can be created with information about a student’s functioning in the classroom which gives even more specific insights into the neurology of academic challenges and strengths. Educators then collaborate around the insights of the brain map to more effectively plan individualized instruction.
